Based in New York City, Janice is an Argentine tango dancer, teacher, and performer who approaches tango as a living art form—where technique, musicality, and emotion converge.
Trained as a ballerina in Hong Kong for 14 years and once recognized as a prodigy by the UK Royal Academy of Dance, she brings deep technical grounding to her work. With an art degree and years of experience designing innovative products in Silicon Valley, Janice weaves precision, creativity, and clear communication into her dance.
After moving to New York, Janice discovered tango—a dance that, for the first time, made her feel fully free, present, and playful in her body. She left her tech career and dedicate herself entirely to tango, uniting rigorous technique, artistic depth, and lived experience.
With reverence for tango’s cultural roots, Janice continues to deepen her craft through immersion and study with Argentine maestros in Buenos Aires and abroad.
Today, she teaches and performs tango with the intention of sharing this art and tradition with more people, while cultivating connection, freedom, and presence—on and off the dance floor.
